SNA or Singapore National Academy is a National Plus School that uses on three languages (English, Chinese and Indonesian) as its media of instruction. It adopts the Singapore Ministry of Education’s curriculum and uses a hybrid of western and eastern pedagogy and methods in educating the youths. The main focus of our education is not only to make these children learn but also to teach them how to learn. Learning is a lifelong process and learning to learn is an important precept of life 

We also implement a customized education approach as we realize that each student has his/her own strengths and we adopt the Multiple Intelligence learning method to leverage each student’s strengths to bring out what’s best in him/her. We want to encourage our students to dare to be different and have the courage to accept very challenge that they encounter. We believe that all children are leaders in their own ways and endeavor to prepare to be future leaders in their fields of distinction.

We provide a comprehensive K-12 seamless Academic Programmed from PLAYGROUP TO PRE-UNIVERSITY LEVELS of education.

SINGAPORE EXAMINATION & ASSESSMENT BOARD (SEAB) 

Since year 2005, SNA together with our sister school under PIAGET ACADEMY has become the only official partner of the Singapore Examination and Assessment Board (SEAB), a privatized examination board under the Singapore Ministry of Education. The strong support from SEAB enables us to obtain the latest developments and updates on school curriculum and examination syllabuses, as well as invaluable resources and teacher training, which are crucial for us to sustain our high standard of education quality. In the same year, our PIAGET schools have become official centre for international Primary School Leaving Examination (iPSLE) in Indonesia. PIAGET school have also been appointed to be the only centre for general Certificate in Education (CGE)’O’ Level Examination in Indonesia with effect from 2008.

SNA Campus has been designed specially by our Board of Governors, assisted by professionals who have the understanding at what is the best environment for children to learn. The classrooms are designed in a non-conventional ways to stimulate the students’ creativity and alertness, yet providing joyful, clean, and secured environment. Most of SNA campus areas are covered with wi-fi connections to support experiental learning and to encourage our students and teachers to be “IT savvy”

ADMISSION PERIOD

Our admission period is from November to May. Application after May will be reviewed case. Admission is based on availability of vacancies and the students’ academic merits. 

ADMISSION TESTS

Due to the demanding and rigorous curriculum that we have, we will administer Admission Tests in English Language and Mathematics for entry to primary 2-5 and secondary 1-3. Only qualified students will be enrolled into our school. 

PLACEMENT TEST

We will administer Placement Test in Chinese Language, in order to place the students in appropriate bands (levels) according to their levels of competency in the subject. 

ENGLISH BRIDGING COURSES

New students who do not have strong foundation in the English Language will be required to attend an English Bridging Course for a period of 6-12 months. This course aims to help the students improve in English Language, so that they will be able to follow all subject lessons conducted in English Language.
